High winds and heavy rain, but the show must go on for:
The 3rd Annual Food Drive at Great Northern Docks featuring the Maine Cabin Masters.
Despite the torrential downpour and high winds, spirits were sunny and bright even though the sky was gray.
With a little change to our plan, we were able to reverse the direction of traffic and put our event tent inside a garage bay keeping the Maine Cabin Masters and visitors out of the wind and rain. Our yard crew was garbed in rain suits directing traffic while most folks were safe and dry in their cars as they lined up to offer cash and food donations before meeting Chase, Ashley, Ryan, Jedi, and Jen.
All donations were made to support Crosswalk Community Outreach in Naples, ME, which provides resources to those in need within the surrounding area. https://www.crosswalkcommunityoutreach.com/
The spirit and joy of giving overflowed throughout the event which served to remind us all to consider and actively serve our neighbors and community. We owe a very special thanks to the Maine Cabin Masters for generously giving their time and warmth to the Naples community. Their dedication to serving communities throughout Maine serves is truly inspiring!
The day was an event to remember and reflect upon two things that remain true: Life Is Better Working Together and Helping Others Equals Happiness.
